APJ Abdul Kalam, India ๐
was an Indian scientist and politician who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007.
He was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, India, and passed away on July 27, 2015, in Shillong, Meghalaya, India.
Kalam was known as the "Missile Man of India" for his work on the development of India's missile technology. He played a key role in the development of the Agni and Prithvi missiles,
and was also responsible for the successful nuclear tests conducted in 1998. Kalam was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1981,
the Padma Vibhushan in 1990, and the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, in 1997 for his contributions to Indian science and technology.
Apart from his work in the field of science and technology, Kalam was also known for his inspirational speeches and writings.
He wrote several books, including "Wings of Fire," an autobiography, and "Ignited Minds,"
a book that aimed to inspire the youth of India. Kalam was known for his humble and down-to-earth personality,
and he remained popular among the people of India throughout his life.
